About the role
Designing and building chumley.com from the ground up, taking pages from rough concept through design to production. Building fast, accessible, responsive interfaces in React, TypeScript, and Next.js that hold up on a phone in a van as well as on a desktop. Owning the visual and interaction design of the site, working in Figma and turning your own work into code. Setting up and maintaining a CMS so non-engineers across the team can update content without needing a developer. Handling the light backend work the site needs, including forms, integrations, API routes, analytics, and deployment. Making the site perform, covering page speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO fundamentals, and conversion. Working directly with the founder to translate what Chumley does into a site that actually explains it. Growing into product frontend work over time as the site matures and ChumleyOS expands.
