About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated GoLang Intern to join our backend engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who has strong hands-on experience with Golang and backend development through academic projects, personal projects, open-source contributions, or prior internship experience. We are looking for candidates with a strong practical understanding of Go and backend engineering fundamentals who can independently work on well-defined backend tasks and contribute to production-quality systems under the guidance of experienced engineers. You will have the opportunity to work on scalable APIs, microservices, databases, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies while collaborating with experienced backend engineers. Strong practical knowledge of Golang, beyond basic syntax and tutorials. Ability to build a functional backend service/API independently. Good understanding of concurrency and how Go handles concurrent workloads. Strong programming fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving. Ability to understand an existing codebase and make changes without compromising code quality. Understanding of API design, databases, error handling, testing, and debugging. Ability to write code that is readable, maintainable, and production-oriented. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and collaboration skills. Curiosity and willingness to learn from experienced engineers.
