About the role
The Software Engineering Intern role at Cleanomatics is an internship position based in Gurugram with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of on-site and work-from-home. The intern will support the engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining back-end services that power the company’s tech ecosystem and ERP “Command Center.” Daily responsibilities may include writing clean, maintainable code, implementing APIs, debugging and resolving issues, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with product and operations teams to refine features. The intern will also assist with integrating new functionalities, improving system performance, and contributing to documentation and testing to ensure reliability and scalability of the platform. Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar). Knowledge of Back-End Web Development and server-side technologies, such as RESTful APIs, databases, and basic cloud or hosting concepts. Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP concepts to real-world problems. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Interest in SaaS platforms, AI-driven products, or operations technology for industries such as laundry, retail, or hospitality is an advantage.
